Anne Galler Award For Outstanding Library Service
I. Purpose of the award: To recognize an individual who has enriched librarianship in Quebec and made a lasting contribution to the profession.
II. Criteria: The award will be presented to an individual who has demonstrated achievement in the following areas of competence: 1. Significant leadership role in the Quebec library community; 2. Exemplary career performance, serving as a model for colleagues in the library profession; 3. Contributions to professional and/or scholarly activities.
III. Selection Process: 1. Nomination forms must be signed by two ABQLA members in good standing; 2. Nominations will be received by the Awards Committee chairperson and reviewed by Committee members; 3. The Committee will recommend an Award winner to the ABQLA Board of Directors for approval.
IV. Presentation of Award: 1. The award will consist of a plaque; 2. The award will be presented during the ABQLA Annual Conference; 3. If no appropriate recipient is identified by the Awards Committee, no award will be given for that year.
V. Deadline: Nomination forms (see below for attachment) must be submitted by March 5, 2010.
