The Quebec Chapter of CAML is pleased to announce its second annual meeting

The Quebec Chapter of CAML is pleased to announce its second annual meeting, which will take place on Friday, October 23, 2009, at the Conservatoire de musique et d'art dramatique de Montréal. Full information, including the programme and registration form, are available at the QCCAML website.  

This one-day meeting will offer participants the opportunity to meet and discuss work-related issues. All who work with music in libraries and/or are interested in music librarianship in Quebec are welcome to attend. 

Many of the day’s presentations are related to digitization issues and projects, and other music library issues will be explored at the meeting as well. Highlights include:

 ·         A keynote presentation of the CBC’s new digital delivery of audio

·         An update on RDA: Resource Description and Access

·         Concordia University's audio e-reserves project

·         Music digitization projects of the BAnQ

·         Online music periodicals

·         Public library support of young adults' music information seeking.

 Tours of the Conservatoire’s Library will also be offered. The day will end with a wine and cheese reception.

Finally, the day’s events will also include a popular feature from last year’s meeting: 5-minute “Hot Topics” presentations. Is there a project you feel particularly proud of?
