Music Librarian, Eleanor London Côte Saint- Luc Public Library

Farah Mohammed has been the Music Librarian at the Eleanor London Côte Saint- Luc Public Library since 1996. 

Her responsibilities include building the sound recording collection, cataloguing compact discs, providing general reference service, and promoting the music collection. She also gives a series of lectures on music, as part of the many adult education programs at the Library. Not only has she taught music at the elementary school level, she has taught piano privately for the past twenty years. She is also an active performer. She sings with the CBC award-winning chamber choir, The Orpheus Singers, and plays violin and viola with the Suzuki Institute orchestra. Farah studied Piano Performance, and holds a Bachelor of Music in Music History, and a Masters of Library & Information Studies from McGill University.
