Michelle Arbuckle

As the National Librarian Michelle is responsible for servicing all five CMC libraries, including cataloguing, collection development, reference and information services and strategic direction.

In addition, Michelle also assists with metadata and structural analyses of the CMC's many web-based projects. Michelle holds a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Western Ontario where she focused on bibliographic instruction and virtual libraries. In 2000 she received her BMus in music history from Wilfrid Laurier University where she also studied in the flute studio of Amy Hamilton. Michelle has a raging technolust that she tries to rein in and is a voracious reader and participant in the library blogosphere.

She is very active in the special libraries community and has a keen interest in professional collaboration and the evolution of social networking tools.
