This book is an anthology of over 50 established and emerging Native artists from all walks of life, whose contributed works include poetry, essays, photography, literature, music and art. Powerful and thought-provoking, these artists’ voices aim to provide insight into their rich Native heritage, which is so often misrepresented in mainstream media. It is a collection which is just as strong visually as it as in its text. The artists tell their stories their way, and it is impossible to not become submerged in their struggles, hopes and dreams. A short biography of each contributor may be found at the end of the book. Highly recommended for children over 12, as well as adults.
