Nicholas Warren

“More Hats than Librairies: Serving At-Risk Youth at Multiple Alternative Schools”

Nicholas Warren is the Documentation Technician in charge of the Outreach and Social Affairs schools at the EMSB. He works with at-risk youth at thirteen different schools, including a high-security prison and a school for teenage mothers. He will share his experiences including challenges, successes, the work environment, and tools of the trade.



Carole Boubalos

"Programming ideas to serve the special needs of autistic children in a library setting"

Carole Boubalos is an assistant librarian at the Montreal West Children's Library. She has experience leading groups and telling stories to school groups, babies and toddlers, and of particular note, a group of autistic children. She has been working with Giant Steps for the last 2 years and will share her experience working with autistic children with us.
